Why did I choose to get in the FREAKING MUSIC BUSINESS!!!! Geeeeesh!

A lot of people have the game so misconstrued when it comes down to making it in the music business, they think I'ma keep going to the studio recording, I'ma hit every open mic in the city, I'ma go buy me a chain, wrap me a van, throw 2 thousand dollars in the club, what do they call it? Oh yes! Make it rain, all that crazy stuff, but what they fail to realize is that more than anything you have to have the heart for this shit. Yes you need open mics because it provides a platform where you can polish your craft, but it takes more than that.

The music business is not all about the fly cars, the pretty girls, and the money, it's about the hard work that you have to put in not only to get those luxurious things but you still have to maintain them as well, therefore, you're constantly working. I know me personally I work my butt off day in and day out, hell writing this blog is work lol! The grind never stops! When the average person works a normal 9-5 there are set hours, you clock in, take a lunch break, and then you clock out. In the music business there are no set hours your life is your business and you have to run it accordingly. Sometimes there is no me time, he time, she time, mama time, sister time, none of that! And don't even get me started on how your relatives won't understand why you are changing and gone all of the time, they are going to hit you with this line at least once, "Why are you doing this?"

Nevertheless, one word of advice that I will give to you all, speaking from experience, if you're going to do it and put in all of this hard work then do it for yourself and most importantly hold the people down who hold you down. Don't forget how it started, where you came from, and who was there for you. Yea I know it's a lot, but I promise you everything I'm telling you is %100 the truth about this business.


There will be a lot of obstacles in your way, a lot of people who are going to wrong you, and most of them are going to be the 1's closest to you, but their will also be a lot of people who are going to show you what it is to be a true friend and hold you down until the end. The only thing that I can tell you is keep yourself prayed and up and keep pushing!!! Stay aware and in the know of everything that's going on and make sure you handle your business. For starters find you an entertainment attorney and go from there. Stay focused and be consistent!

I hope that these words have enlightened someone & broadened their horizons. Now it's back to work!
